Symptoms
• Oven will not heat or heats inconsistently
• Display shows F02 error code
• Oven beeps and locks out during preheat cycle
• Temperature does not reach set level
• Cooking cycles fail to start or complete
• Error persists after closing the oven door
• Control panel becomes unresponsive to temperature adjustments
Possible Causes
• Temperature sensor (RTD probe) is disconnected or loose inside the oven cavity
• Temperature sensor has failed or shorted out
• Wiring connection between sensor and control board is damaged or corroded
• Control board has failed to recognize the temperature sensor signal
• Oven was not properly powered down after a self-clean cycle
• 240V power supply to the oven is unstable or fluctuating
• Oven circuit breaker has tripped, causing intermittent power loss
• Temperature sensor probe is cracked or physically damaged
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Switch off the circuit breaker dedicated to the oven for 60 seconds, then switch it back on to perform a hard reset
• Verify the oven's circuit breaker in your home electrical panel has not tripped; flip it fully off and back on
• Confirm the oven is plugged into a dedicated 240V outlet as required by USA electrical codes and that the outlet is functioning
• Allow the oven to cool completely for at least 2 hours before attempting any troubleshooting
• Check that the oven door closes completely and the door latch engages fully, especially if the oven recently completed a self-clean cycle
• Visually inspect the oven door seal for gaps, tears, or damage that could affect temperature readings
• Look inside the oven cavity for any visible damage to the temperature sensor probe (typically a metal rod inside the back wall)
• Wait 10 minutes after the hard reset and attempt to preheat the oven to see if the error clears
• If the error returns, unplug the oven from the wall outlet for 5 minutes, then plug it back in and attempt preheat again
