Symptoms

• Oven will not heat or reaches incorrect temperatures • Display shows E04 error code and oven locks out cooking functions • Heating element may not turn on at all • Oven may shut off unexpectedly during preheating or cooking • Self-cleaning cycle may fail to initiate or complete • Temperature display may show erratic or frozen readings

Possible Causes

• Temperature sensor (RTD probe) is defective or has failed • Loose or corroded electrical connection between sensor and control board • Damaged wiring harness connected to the temperature probe • Temperature sensor probe has broken loose from its mounting position • Control board failure preventing proper sensor signal reading • 240V power supply issue affecting sensor circuit communication on the dedicated circuit • Thermal stress damage to sensor after self-cleaning cycle completion

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Unplug the oven or switch off the dedicated 240V circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then restore power to perform a hard reset • Verify the oven is properly connected to a dedicated 240V circuit breaker as required by North American electrical codes • Check your home's circuit breaker panel to ensure the oven's dedicated breaker has not tripped • Allow the oven to cool completely if it was recently used or ran a self-cleaning cycle before attempting any troubleshooting • Visually inspect the oven door latch and rubber seal for damage, cracks, or warping that may affect temperature accuracy • Look inside the oven cavity near the rear or side walls for any visible damage to the temperature sensor probe • Ensure no debris, food particles, or residue is blocking or covering the temperature sensor probe location • Verify the oven door closes firmly and latches securely, as poor door sealing can trigger sensor errors • Do not attempt to remove, bend, or adjust the temperature sensor probe yourself
Safety First

Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
