Symptoms

• Oven will not heat or maintains incorrect temperature • Display shows E05 error code • Oven may shut off unexpectedly during cooking • Preheat cycle fails to complete • Self-clean cycle cannot be initiated or stops prematurely • Heat may cycle on and off irregularly • No response when adjusting temperature settings

Possible Causes

• Temperature sensor (RTD probe) is defective or has failed • Loose or corroded electrical connection between sensor and control board • Damaged sensor wiring or connector inside the oven cavity • Sensor probe is partially disconnected from its mounting location • Control board failure preventing proper sensor signal reading • Moisture or residue buildup on sensor contacts affecting signal transmission • Sensor probe may have cracked or broken during self-clean cycle due to thermal stress

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Ensure the oven has cooled completely to room temperature before proceeding with any checks • Turn off power to the oven at your home circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then switch back on to perform a hard reset • Check that your oven is properly connected to a dedicated 240V outlet as required by USA electrical codes • Verify your home circuit breaker for the oven is in the ON position and has not tripped • Open the oven door and visually inspect the temperature sensor probe (typically located on the left or right interior wall) for visible cracks, burns, or physical damage • Look for any loose connectors or wiring near the sensor that may have become disconnected • Ensure the oven door latch and seal are intact and closing properly, as a poor seal can trigger sensor errors • If error persists after power reset, allow the oven to sit unplugged for several hours to fully discharge the control board • Do not attempt to remove or test the sensor probe yourself as this requires specialized tools and may cause further damage
Safety First

Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
