Symptoms
• Cooktop will not turn on or respond to touch controls
• One or more burners will not heat
• Display shows F0 error code and cooktop is locked out
• Touch panel is unresponsive to button presses
• Cooktop randomly shuts off during use
• Heat indicators or digital display flicker or show garbled text
Possible Causes
• Temperature sensor failure or loose sensor connection inside cooktop
• Control board malfunction or internal circuitry failure
• Power supply instability on the 240V circuit (electric/induction models) or 120V control circuit (gas models)
• Loose or corroded electrical connections at the terminal block
• Moisture or condensation inside the control housing affecting sensor readings
• Cracked or damaged glass surface on smoothtop or induction models causing sensor interference
• Control lock feature accidentally activated preventing normal operation
• Faulty touch control panel or digitizer
• 60Hz power supply interruption or voltage fluctuation in home electrical system
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Turn off the circuit breaker dedicated to your cooktop for 60 seconds, then switch it back on to perform a hard reset
• Check your home electrical panel to ensure the cooktop's circuit breaker has not tripped; reset if necessary
• For electric and induction models, verify the cooktop is securely plugged into a dedicated 240V outlet or properly hardwired and check for loose connections at the wall outlet
• For gas cooktop models, verify the control module is connected to a 120V outlet and the outlet is functioning
• Inspect the entire cooktop surface for visible cracks, chips, or damage to the glass on smoothtop and induction models
• Wipe the entire cooktop surface and touch control panel dry with a soft cloth to remove any moisture or condensation
• Check that the control lock feature is not activated by holding the lock button for 3 seconds (refer to your user manual for lock button location)
• On gas models, ensure all burner caps and grates are seated correctly and not blocking air vents
• Wait 5 minutes after the hard reset and observe if the error code clears and the cooktop responds normally
• If the error persists after these steps, discontinue use of the cooktop and do not attempt further repairs
Safety First
