Symptoms
• Cooktop will not turn on or respond to touch controls
• Display screen shows E0 error code and does not clear
• Burners or heating elements will not activate
• Touch controls are unresponsive or locked
• Cooktop powers on but immediately shuts down
• Some functions work while others remain inactive
Possible Causes
• Loss of power or interrupted electrical connection to the cooktop
• Faulty control board or internal circuit malfunction
• Damaged or loose wiring connections at the 240V (electric/induction) or 120V (gas control) power supply
• Tripped home circuit breaker specific to the cooktop circuit
• Wet or moisture in the touch control panel area
• Cracked glass cooktop surface on smoothtop or induction models affecting sensor function
• Defective touch control panel or sensor
• Power surge or electrical spike damage to internal components
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check your home circuit breaker panel and reset any breaker serving the cooktop if it appears tripped to the OFF position
• Verify the cooktop power cord is fully and securely connected to the wall outlet (240V dedicated outlet for electric/induction models, 120V for gas controls)
• Inspect the cooktop surface for any visible cracks, chips, or damage on smoothtop or induction glass that may affect sensors
• Ensure the touch control area is completely dry and free of spilled liquids or moisture
• Check that gas model burner caps and grates are seated properly if applicable
• Perform a hard reset by switching the cooktop circuit breaker to OFF, waiting 60 seconds, then switching it back to ON
• Verify no objects or cookware are resting on the touch control panel area
• Unplug the cooktop power cord for 60 seconds if accessible, then reconnect and power on again
• Allow the cooktop to cool completely for 30 minutes, then attempt power-on again to see if error clears
