Symptoms

• Dishwasher stops mid-cycle and displays E23 error code on the control panel • No water or insufficient water filling the wash tub during the cycle • Cycle does not complete and dishes remain unwashed • Water may leak from under the dishwasher door • Dishwasher makes unusual clicking or buzzing sounds from the valve area • Error code appears repeatedly on restart attempts

Possible Causes

• Clogged or kinked inlet water hose restricting water flow • Failed or stuck water inlet valve preventing proper water admission • Low household water pressure below the minimum 20 psi required by USA models • Debris or sediment blocking the inlet valve filter screen • Faulty water level sensor not detecting adequate fill • Tripped household circuit breaker cutting power to the inlet valve solenoid • Broken or loose water inlet hose connection at the back of the dishwasher • Defective control board failing to signal the inlet valve • Mineral buildup in the inlet valve from hard water conditions common in USA regions

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Check your home's main water shutoff valve and any secondary shutoffs near the dishwasher to ensure they are fully open • Verify household water pressure is adequate by checking a kitchen sink faucet for normal flow; if low, contact your water utility • Inspect the inlet hose at the back of the dishwasher for kinks, pinches, or damage and straighten if needed • Disconnect the inlet hose from the water supply connection and flush it into a bucket to check for debris or blockages • Check that the home circuit breaker powering the dishwasher has not tripped; reset if necessary • Open the dishwasher door and inspect the inlet valve filter screen (usually located on the inlet valve assembly) for visible debris or sediment and rinse gently if accessible • Ensure the detergent dispenser door closes properly and is not blocking water flow • Try running the dishwasher on a shorter cycle to see if the error reoccurs or if normal operation resumes • Power cycle the dishwasher by turning it off at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds, then turning it back on to reset the control board
Safety First

Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
