Symptoms

• Dishwasher stops mid-cycle and displays error code 10 • Water does not fill into the wash chamber • Reduced water pressure or slow water flow during fill phase • Cycle halts before washing or rinsing stages complete • Door may lock and require manual reset • Error code clears but returns on subsequent cycles • Audible clicking from water inlet valve area during fill attempt

Possible Causes

• Clogged or kinked water inlet hose (cold water line connection) • Failed water inlet valve (solenoid malfunction) • Water supply line shut-off valve partially or fully closed • Home water pressure below 20 psi (insufficient for USA standard plumbing) • Debris blocking water inlet screens or filters • Faulty water level sensor or pressure switch • Frozen water supply line (in cold climates) • Float switch stuck in closed position • Control board communication error with inlet valve

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Verify the water shut-off valve under your sink or at the main water supply is fully open (turn counterclockwise) • Check your home's circuit breaker box to ensure the dishwasher circuit breaker is in the ON position • Inspect the inlet hose connection at the back of the dishwasher to confirm it is hand-tight and not kinked or pinched • Look for visible cracks, splits, or damage to the water inlet hose along its entire length • Disconnect the inlet hose from the dishwasher and allow water to run into a bucket to test home water pressure (should be 20-116 psi) • Close the water shut-off valve, disconnect the inlet hose, and inspect the connection point for mineral deposits or debris • Open the dishwasher door and visually inspect the water inlet opening at the bottom front interior for visible blockages • Wipe the inlet area with a damp cloth to remove any debris or detergent buildup • Run the dishwasher through a short cycle after reconnecting all connections to see if error clears • Reset the dishwasher by turning off power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds, then restore power • Check that the door latch closes completely and engages fully (error 10 sometimes triggers on incomplete door seal) • Ensure detergent dispenser door opens freely and is not blocked by loading items
