Symptoms
• Dishwasher does not fill with water or fills very slowly
• Error code E09 displayed on the control panel
• Wash cycle stops or does not start
• No water sprays from the wash arms during cycle
• Dishwasher beeps and halts mid-cycle
• Door remains locked and cycle cannot be cancelled normally
Possible Causes
• Kinked or pinched inlet hose connection at the back of the dishwasher
• Clogged inlet water filter screen (often due to mineral deposits or debris in North American water supplies)
• Water inlet valve solenoid failure or electrical malfunction
• Faulty water level sensor or pressure switch
• Home water supply shutoff valve partially closed or fully closed
• Low incoming water pressure below 20 psi minimum threshold
• Damaged or worn fill valve internal components
• Loose electrical connection to the inlet valve
• Control board failure preventing proper valve activation
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Verify the home's main water supply shutoff valve is fully open and water pressure is adequate (standard USA range is 20-116 psi)
• Check that the cold water inlet hose connection at the back of the dishwasher is fully tightened and not kinked or bent
• Inspect the inlet hose for visible cracks, splits, or damage along its entire length
• Turn off the dishwasher's circuit breaker for 30 seconds, then turn it back on to reset the appliance
• Open the dishwasher door and check that the door latch clicks firmly into place when closed
• Ensure no detergent dispenser lid or other internal obstruction is blocking water flow into the tub
• Listen for a clicking sound near the inlet valve (back-left area) when starting a cycle, which indicates the valve is receiving electrical power
• Check for any visible water leaks around the inlet hose connections under the sink
• Test the water supply by running a sink faucet nearest the dishwasher to confirm water is reaching that area of the home
• Allow the dishwasher to sit powered off for 1-2 hours, then attempt to run a short cycle again
Safety First
Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
