Symptoms

• Dishwasher fails to fill with water at the start of the cycle • Wash cycle stops prematurely due to insufficient water • Error code E16 displays on the control panel • Unit beeps and halts operation during the fill phase • Dishes remain dry after a complete cycle • Water may trickle slowly into the tub instead of filling normally

Possible Causes

• Kinked or blocked inlet hose from the main water supply line • Debris or mineral buildup in the water inlet valve (common in areas with hard water) • Faulty water inlet solenoid valve that fails to open • Low water pressure in the home's plumbing system (below 20 psi) • Tripped circuit breaker affecting the inlet valve's 120V power supply • Frozen water line during winter months in cold climates • Clogged water inlet filter screen inside the dishwasher connection port • Defective fill valve assembly requiring replacement

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Check your home's main water supply to ensure water is turned on to the dishwasher • Inspect the inlet hose at the back of the dishwasher for kinks, crimps, or pinches and straighten if necessary • Verify your home's circuit breaker for the dishwasher is in the ON position and reset if tripped • Turn off the water supply valve behind the dishwasher, disconnect the inlet hose, and flush it into a bucket to check for debris or clogs • Inspect the inlet hose screen filter (located where the hose connects to the dishwasher) for debris and rinse under running water if dirty • Measure your home's water pressure using a pressure gauge attached to an outdoor faucet; if below 20 psi, contact your water provider • Allow the dishwasher to sit unplugged for 5 minutes, then plug it back in to reset the control board • Run a test cycle after each check to see if the error clears • Do not attempt to disassemble the inlet valve or internal plumbing connections yourself
Safety First

Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
