Symptoms
• Dishwasher fails to fill with water during wash cycle
• Cycle stops midway and displays E08 error code on control panel
• No water spraying from spray arms during operation
• Partial or no water pooling at the bottom of the tub
• Audible clicking or buzzing sounds from the inlet valve area but no water flow
• Error code clears temporarily but returns on subsequent cycles
Possible Causes
• Clogged or kinked water inlet hose restricting water flow
• Inlet water shutoff valve under the sink is partially or fully closed
• Water pressure in home supply line is below minimum requirement (below 20 psi for USA standard)
• Mineral deposits or sediment blocking the inlet valve filter screen
• Faulty water inlet valve solenoid preventing valve opening
• Failed inlet valve diaphragm on USA 120V models
• Broken or disconnected water supply line connection at dishwasher inlet
• Control board malfunction preventing proper valve signal on 300/500/800 Series models
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Verify the water shutoff valve under the sink (typically a blue or red knob on the supply line) is fully turned counterclockwise to the open position
• Inspect the inlet hose for visible kinks, bends, or crimping and straighten if necessary
• Check that the inlet hose connection at the back of the dishwasher is tight and not leaking
• Ensure no other major water-consuming appliances are running simultaneously, which may reduce water pressure below the required 20 psi minimum
• Look for any visible sediment or debris in the area where the inlet hose connects to the dishwasher
• Confirm the home's main water supply is turned on and check if other faucets in the house have normal water pressure
• Review your home electrical panel to ensure the dishwasher circuit breaker (typically 15-20 amps for USA models) is in the ON position and has not tripped
• Unplug the dishwasher for 5 minutes, then plug it back in to reset the control board
• Run a test cycle and observe if error E08 reappears or if normal water fill occurs
Safety First
Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
