Symptoms
• Dishwasher does not fill with water or fills very slowly
• Wash cycle starts but stops prematurely
• Display shows E02 error code and cycle halts
• Water pressure appears weak during fill phase
• Door lock engages but no water enters the tub
• Error clears temporarily but returns on next cycle
Possible Causes
• Water supply shutoff valve (under sink or at main) is partially or fully closed
• Inlet water line kinks, bends, or is crimped
• Clogged inlet water filter screen (common debris from municipal water lines)
• Water supply line frozen (in cold climates) or damaged
• Home water pressure below minimum threshold (Bosch USA models require 20-116 psi)
• Faulty water inlet valve solenoid not responding to electrical signal
• Kinked or pinched fill hose between wall connection and dishwasher
• Low home water pressure due to high demand or municipal supply issues
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check the water supply shutoff valve under the sink and verify it is fully open (turn counterclockwise)
• Inspect the inlet water line for visible kinks, cracks, or damage along its entire length
• Verify your home's main water shutoff valve is open and water pressure is adequate at other faucets
• Check that the dishwasher inlet hose is not compressed behind or beneath cabinetry
• Locate and inspect the small inlet water filter screen inside the dishwasher connection point for debris or mineral buildup
• Run a short cycle and listen for the fill valve clicking sound (indicates electrical power reaching the valve)
• Ensure the dishwasher's power supply is stable by checking your home's circuit breaker panel for tripped breakers
• If water is available at other fixtures, try running hot water at the kitchen sink for 30 seconds to prime the line
• Check that you are using the correct inlet connection (hot or cold water line as specified for your model)
• Disconnect the inlet hose, place it in a bucket, and turn on the shutoff valve to verify strong water flow
Safety First
Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
