Symptoms

• Washing machine stops mid-cycle and displays E02 on the digital display • Water does not fill the drum or fills very slowly • The machine beeps and may not start a wash cycle • Only cold water fills but hot water does not (or vice versa) • Water level appears lower than normal for the selected cycle • Machine enters standby mode and requires a reset to clear the error

Possible Causes

• Kinked or pinched inlet hoses on the back of the machine • Clogged inlet valve screens due to mineral buildup or debris common in hard water areas • Faulty water inlet valve solenoid preventing water flow • Low home water pressure below 20 psi (below North American standard residential minimum) • Closed or partially closed water supply shut-off valves under the sink • Frozen or blocked water lines in cold climates • Defective water level pressure sensor or switch • Electrical connection issue with the inlet water valve circuit • Control board malfunction preventing proper valve activation at 120V/60Hz operation

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Turn off and unplug the washing machine, then wait 5 minutes before restarting to reset the error • Check both the hot and cold water shut-off valves behind the machine to ensure they are fully open (turn counterclockwise) • Inspect the inlet hoses for kinks, twists, or pinching along their entire length and straighten if needed • Disconnect the inlet hoses and check the small screens inside the machine's water inlet connections for sediment or debris; rinse screens with clean water if clogged • Run a separate faucet near the washing machine to verify adequate water pressure; weak flow suggests a household water supply issue • Ensure the inlet hoses are securely connected at both the machine and wall connection points • Check your home's main circuit breaker to confirm the outlet powering the washing machine is not tripped • Run the machine on a rinse and spin cycle only (without fill) to see if the error clears or if it only appears during fill • If error persists after these checks, the inlet valve, pressure sensor, or control board may require professional service
Safety First
