Symptoms

• Washing machine stops mid-cycle and displays E10 error code • Drum does not fill with water or fills very slowly • Wash cycle cannot begin because water level sensor is not detecting sufficient water • Error appears during the initial fill phase of the wash program • Machine may beep or display the error on the digital control panel • Previously completed cycles now fail at the fill stage

Possible Causes

• Kinked, clogged, or frozen inlet hose (hot or cold water supply line) • Water supply valve partially or fully closed at the wall connection • Inlet valve filter screens clogged with mineral deposits or debris common in USA municipal water supplies • Low household water pressure below the 20 psi minimum requirement for Bosch machines • Defective water inlet valve solenoid not opening properly • Faulty water level sensor or pressure switch in the machine • Damaged inlet hose connection or loose fitting at the machine or wall • Electrical issue preventing the inlet valve from receiving power • Clogged water inlet valve due to hard water mineral buildup

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Turn off the washing machine and unplug it from the 120V outlet for 5 minutes, then plug back in and restart to reset the error • Check that both the hot and cold water supply valves behind the washing machine are fully turned on (turn counterclockwise to open) • Inspect both water inlet hoses for kinks, bends, or damage along their entire length and straighten if needed • Verify your home's water pressure by attaching a pressure gauge to an outdoor faucet; it should read between 20-116 psi (Bosch USA standard) • Look at where the inlet hoses connect to the wall and the machine to ensure connections are hand-tight and not leaking • Turn off the water supply valves, disconnect the inlet hoses from the machine, and inspect the connection points for debris or mineral buildup • Listen for humming or clicking sounds from the machine when starting a cycle; absence of sound may indicate a solenoid valve issue • Try running a different wash cycle or the rinse-only cycle to see if the error persists • Check your home's circuit breaker to ensure the breaker for the washing machine outlet is in the ON position and not tripped • Clean the inlet hose screens by unscrewing the hoses from the back of the machine and rinsing the mesh filters under running water • Ensure the water inlet hoses are the correct Bosch replacement hoses rated for 120V USA models • Contact Bosch customer support if the error persists after these checks, as the inlet valve or water level sensor may require professional service
