Symptoms

• Wash cycle stops or fails to start • Drum does not fill with water • E03 error code displays on the control panel • Machine may make buzzing or clicking sounds during fill attempt • Cycle pauses and eventually triggers an error after 2-3 minutes • Reduced water flow or no water reaching the drum

Possible Causes

• Clogged inlet water filters (common in areas with mineral-heavy tap water) • Kinked, pinched, or twisted water inlet hoses • Faulty water inlet solenoid valve preventing water flow • Low household water pressure below 20 psi (common in some US regions) • Cold water inlet hose disconnected or improperly connected • Home circuit breaker tripped, cutting power to inlet valve • Water supply turned off at home shutoff valve • Defective water level sensor not registering incoming water • Broken or damaged inlet hose with internal blockage

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Check that both hot and cold water supply valves behind your washing machine are fully turned on (turned counterclockwise) • Verify your home's main water supply is on and functioning by testing another faucet in your home • Inspect both inlet hoses for visible kinks, twists, or damage from the back of the machine • Check if your home circuit breaker has tripped; reset it by switching the breaker fully off then back on • Examine the inlet hose connection points where they attach to both the machine and your water supply for loose fittings • If your area has hard water, the inlet filters may be clogged; turn off water supply valves and carefully disconnect inlet hoses to visually inspect the filter screens for mineral buildup • Verify your household water pressure is adequate by checking if water flows strongly from other faucets; low pressure below 20 psi may trigger this error • Allow 30 seconds after turning on water valves before starting a cycle, as trapped air in lines can cause false readings • Unplug the machine from the 120V outlet, wait 5 minutes, then plug it back in to reset the control board • Consult your Bosch USA model's user manual for specific inlet hose routing and connection diagrams • If error persists after these checks, contact an authorized Bosch service technician for sensor or solenoid valve diagnosis
Safety First
