Symptoms

• Machine stops mid-brew cycle and displays E03 on the control panel • No water flows from the group head or dispenser during coffee preparation • Weak or no pressure during espresso extraction • Machine beeps repeatedly when attempting to brew • Water may leak from the brew unit area • Machine enters standby mode and requires manual reset to attempt brewing again • Error message persists even after attempting to brew multiple times

Possible Causes

• Water tank is empty, not properly seated, or has insufficient water level • Mineral buildup and scale deposits blocking water lines (common in hard water USA regions) • Air pocket trapped in the water circulation system preventing proper pressure • Clogged water inlet valve or supply line • Faulty water pressure sensor malfunction • Brew unit not correctly inserted or seated in the machine • Water pump failure or insufficient pump pressure output • Defective one-way valve in the water system • Circuit breaker or power surge affecting the 120V/60Hz electrical supply • Water distribution block or micro-filter blockage

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Verify the home circuit breaker for the outlet is in the ON position and reset it if tripped • Unplug the machine from the electrical outlet for 60 seconds, then plug it back in to perform a hard reset • Check that the water tank is filled with fresh, room-temperature water to the maximum fill line • Remove the water tank and reseat it firmly into the machine until it clicks or locks into place • Inspect the water tank inlet connection on the machine for any debris or blockage • If your region has hard water, run the machine's descaling cycle using a USA-compatible descaling solution following the manufacturer's instructions • Open and close the brew unit door or lever several times to ensure proper seating • Check the grounds container and drip tray are emptied and properly installed • Verify the bean hopper contains beans and is not jammed or blocked • Allow the machine to sit powered on for 2-3 minutes to allow the water system to pressurize naturally • Attempt to run a test brew cycle with just hot water (no coffee) to see if water flows • Inspect all visible water connections on the exterior of the machine for loose fittings or moisture
