Symptoms

• Washing machine will not fill with water or fills very slowly • Error code E15 displays on the digital control panel • Cycle cannot start or stops unexpectedly mid-cycle • Water inlet valve makes unusual clicking or humming sounds • Machine may beep repeatedly when attempting to start a wash cycle • Wet clothes remain in the drum without water being present

Possible Causes

• Kinked, twisted, or pinched water inlet hose connections • Water supply shut-off valves (hot or cold) are partially or fully closed • Clogged inlet hose screens due to sediment or mineral buildup from municipal water • Faulty water inlet valve solenoid unable to open properly • Low water pressure in the home's plumbing system (below 20 psi minimum requirement) • Water inlet hoses not properly connected to both the machine and wall faucet connections • Frozen water supply lines in cold climates or unheated spaces • Defective water level sensor giving false readings to the control board

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Turn off the washing machine and unplug it from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and restart the cycle • Check that both the hot and cold water shut-off valves behind or under the washing machine are fully turned counterclockwise (open position) • Inspect both inlet hoses for visible kinks, twists, bends, or damage along their entire length • Verify that inlet hose connections are hand-tightened securely at both the machine and wall faucet connection points • Turn off water supply valves and carefully disconnect inlet hoses, then run water into a bucket to test actual water pressure flow • Remove inlet hoses and inspect the small mesh screens inside the connection fittings for sediment buildup; rinse screens with clean water if debris is present • Check your home's main electrical circuit breaker panel to ensure the washing machine circuit breaker is in the fully ON position and has not tripped • Allow washing machine to sit in a warm location for 2-3 hours if in a cold garage or basement, then attempt a cycle again • Run a test cycle with the hot water valve opened and another test with the cold water valve opened separately to isolate which supply line may have the problem • Contact Bosch customer support or a certified Bosch service technician if error persists after completing these checks, as the water inlet valve or control board may require professional replacement
