Symptoms

• Refrigerator and freezer compartments not cooling to the set temperature • Error code E09 displayed on the digital control panel • Compressor running constantly or not running at all • Internal temperatures rising above safe storage levels • Blinking or frozen display screen • Beeping or alarm sounds from the unit • Inability to adjust temperature settings through the control panel

Possible Causes

• Faulty temperature sensor (NTC thermistor) in the refrigerator or freezer compartment • Loose or corroded wire connections between the control board and temperature sensors • Defective main control board or electronic control unit • Damaged wiring harness connecting sensors to the control board • Failed inverter board affecting compressor operation • Power surge or electrical fault from the home circuit • Condensation or ice buildup on sensor contacts • Malfunctioning damper control assembly preventing proper air circulation

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Unplug the refrigerator from the 120V outlet for 60 seconds, then plug it back in to perform a hard reset • Verify the refrigerator is plugged into a dedicated 120V/60Hz outlet and not sharing the circuit with other appliances • Check your home's circuit breaker panel to ensure the dedicated circuit for the refrigerator has not tripped • Inspect the power cord for any visible damage, cuts, or exposed wiring • Ensure the refrigerator is level by using a level tool on the floor—adjust the front leveling legs if tilted • Verify the refrigerator compartment door seal and gasket are clean, flexible, and making full contact with the frame • Check the freezer compartment door seal and gasket for cracks, brittleness, or gaps • Confirm the temperature settings are within the USA recommended range of 35-38°F for the refrigerator and 0°F for the freezer • Unplug the unit and visually inspect the back panel and bottom area for excessive dust buildup on condenser coils, cleaning gently with a soft brush if needed • Ensure nothing is blocking the air vents inside the fresh food compartment or freezer compartment • Check that all internal shelves and drawers are properly seated and not preventing air circulation • Wait 10 minutes after plugging the unit back in to allow the control board to reinitialize completely • Note the exact time the error appears and any patterns (such as during specific times of day or after power interruptions)
Safety First

Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
