Symptoms

• Refrigerator or freezer compartment not cooling properly or not reaching the correct temperature • Error code E22 displayed on the digital control panel • One or both compartments running warmer than normal settings • Compressor running continuously or cycling irregularly • Inability to adjust temperature settings on the display panel • Audible beeping or alarm sounds from the unit

Possible Causes

• Faulty temperature sensor (thermistor) in the refrigerator or freezer compartment • Loose or disconnected wire harness between the temperature sensor and control board • Control board malfunction or loss of signal from the sensor circuit • Damaged sensor probe or cracked sensor housing • Electrical connection issue due to power fluctuations on the home circuit • Failed evaporator fan motor preventing proper airflow and temperature regulation • Defrost cycle malfunction affecting temperature accuracy readings

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Unplug the refrigerator for 60 seconds to perform a hard reset, then plug it back in to clear temporary sensor errors • Check that the refrigerator is plugged into a dedicated 120V outlet and verify the outlet is functioning with another appliance • Verify your home circuit breaker for the refrigerator circuit has not tripped; reset it if necessary • Confirm the refrigerator is level on the floor using a spirit level, as improper leveling can affect sensor accuracy • Inspect the door seals and gaskets on both the refrigerator and freezer compartments to ensure they are airtight and free of debris or damage • Check that the refrigerator and freezer temperature settings are within the recommended USA range of 35-38°F for the fridge compartment and 0°F for the freezer compartment • Remove any ice buildup or frost around the evaporator area visible through air vents inside the compartments • Verify that air vents between the freezer and refrigerator compartments are not blocked by food items • Inspect the condenser coils at the back or bottom of the unit for excessive dust buildup and gently vacuum if needed • Ensure there is adequate clearance (at least 2 inches) on all sides of the refrigerator for proper airflow and ventilation
Safety First
