Safety Checks You Can Do

• Unplug the refrigerator from the 120V outlet for 60 seconds, then plug it back in to perform a hard reset • Verify the refrigerator is plugged into a dedicated 120V/60Hz outlet and not a shared circuit with other appliances • Check your home's circuit breaker panel to confirm the dedicated refrigerator breaker is in the ON position • Inspect the power cord for any visible damage, cuts, or fraying • Ensure the refrigerator is sitting level on the floor using a spirit level; adjust the front leveling legs if the unit is tilted • Verify the fresh food compartment temperature setting is between 35-38°F and the freezer is set to 0°F • Check that all door seals and gaskets on the fresh food and freezer compartments are clean, flexible, and sealing properly with no gaps • Inspect the condenser coils at the back or bottom of the unit for dust and debris buildup; gently vacuum if needed • Confirm the refrigerator is not in defrost cycle by waiting 30 minutes and checking if normal cooling resumes • Check that nothing is blocking the air vents inside the fresh food or freezer compartments • Ensure the refrigerator has proper ventilation clearance of at least 1 inch on sides and 2 inches on top as required for USA installation
