Symptoms
• Temperature display shows E03 error code
• Refrigerator compressor cycles on and off frequently
• Freezer compartment not maintaining proper temperature
• Fresh food section displaying inconsistent cooling
• Interior lights may flicker or turn off intermittently
• Control panel buttons become unresponsive
• Audible beeping or alarm sounds from the refrigerator
• Water dispenser or ice maker may stop functioning
Possible Causes
• Faulty temperature sensor in the refrigerator or freezer compartment
• Loose or corroded wiring connections between control board and sensors
• Defective main control board or electronic control module
• Power supply voltage fluctuations affecting the 120V circuit
• Water damage or moisture buildup in the control panel area
• Failed door switch sensor preventing proper door detection
• Malfunctioning damper control board regulating airflow
• Defective evaporator fan motor sensor
• Ground fault or electrical short in the control system
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Unplug the refrigerator from the 120V outlet for 60 seconds, then plug it back in to perform a hard reset of the control system
• Verify the refrigerator is plugged into a dedicated 120V/60Hz outlet and not sharing a circuit with other appliances
• Check that your home circuit breaker for the refrigerator is in the ON position and has not tripped
• Confirm the refrigerator is level on the floor using a spirit level, as improper installation can affect sensor function
• Inspect all door seals and gaskets on the refrigerator and freezer compartments to ensure they close completely and are not damaged or worn
• Verify internal temperature settings are within the recommended USA range of 35-38°F for the fresh food compartment and 0°F for the freezer
• Check the condenser coils located at the back or bottom of the unit for excessive dust buildup and gently vacuum them if needed
• Examine the power cord for any visible damage, cuts, or exposed wires
• Open and close all refrigerator doors several times to verify the door switches are functioning properly
• Wait 24 hours after power reset to see if error clears, as the control board may need time to recalibrate
• Check for any visible water pooling or moisture around the control panel or interior walls
