• Error code E05 displayed on the digital control panel
• Compressor running intermittently or not at all
• Interior lights functioning normally but cooling cycles absent
• Warm food or partially thawed items in freezer section
• Beeping or alarm sounds from the refrigerator
Possible Causes
• Faulty main control board or PCB component failure
• Defective temperature sensor in the fresh food or freezer compartment
• Loose or corroded electrical connections inside the refrigerator
• Power supply voltage fluctuations affecting the 120V circuit
• Damaged wiring harness between control board and cooling components
• Compressor relay malfunction on the control board
• Failed capacitor in the control circuit
• Thermistor sensor disconnection or failure
• Defective evaporator fan motor control circuit
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Unplug the refrigerator from the 120V outlet for 60 seconds, then plug it back in to perform a hard reset
• Check your home's circuit breaker panel to ensure the dedicated circuit for the refrigerator is in the ON position and not tripped
• Verify the refrigerator is plugged into a dedicated 120V outlet and not sharing power with other appliances
• Inspect the refrigerator's power cord for visible damage, cuts, or exposed wires
• Ensure the refrigerator is level on the floor using a spirit level; adjust the front legs if needed as improper leveling can affect component operation
• Clean the condenser coils located at the back or bottom of the refrigerator using a soft brush to remove dust and debris
• Check that the fresh food and freezer door seals and gaskets are clean and create an airtight seal when closed
• Verify the internal temperature settings are within the recommended USA range of 35-38°F for the refrigerator and 0°F for the freezer compartment
• Confirm the refrigerator has adequate clearance from walls and cabinets as specified in the USA installation manual for proper air circulation
• Check that the water supply line connection (if applicable) is secure and not kinked or blocked
• Wait 24 hours after performing a reset to allow the refrigerator to stabilize and determine if the error clears
