Symptoms
• Dishwasher starts cycle but stops prematurely
• No water or very little water enters the wash chamber
• Cycle completes without properly cleaning dishes
• E14 error code displays on the control panel
• Dishwasher may beep or alert during the fill phase
• Water may leak under the sink or from the front of the unit
• Dishwasher remains silent during what should be the fill phase
Possible Causes
• Kinked, pinched, or damaged hot water inlet hose
• Clogged water inlet filter screen (common due to mineral buildup from hard water)
• Faulty water inlet valve not opening or closing properly
• Low household water pressure below the minimum 20 psi requirement
• Tripped circuit breaker or loose electrical connection to the inlet valve
• Water supply shutoff valve under sink is partially or fully closed
• Failed water level sensor preventing proper fill detection
• Defective door latch not fully engaging, triggering safety shut-off
• Failed main control board unable to signal the inlet valve
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Check that the household water supply shutoff valve under the sink (if present) is fully open by turning the knob counterclockwise
• Verify your home's circuit breaker for the dishwasher is in the ON position; switch it OFF then back ON to reset
• Inspect the hot water inlet hose at the back of the dishwasher for kinks, pinches, or visible damage
• Feel the inlet hoses for water flow by briefly removing the hose connection and running water to confirm adequate pressure
• Turn off water supply, unscrew the inlet hose, and check the filter screen inside the connection point for mineral deposits or debris
• Rinse the filter screen under running water or soak in vinegar for 30 minutes if heavily calcified, then reattach
• Ensure the dishwasher door closes completely and the door latch clicks firmly into place
• Check that the detergent dispenser door opens and closes freely without obstruction
• Run a short test cycle to see if water fills properly after performing these checks
• If water pressure is extremely low throughout your home, contact your water utility to confirm adequate supply pressure
