Symptoms

• Dryer stops mid-cycle and displays F02 error code on the control panel • Dryer will not start or begin a cycle • Clothes remain wet or damp after the cycle completes • Dryer runs continuously without auto-shutoff • Control panel becomes unresponsive after error appears • Moisture sensor light may blink or remain illuminated

Possible Causes

• Moisture sensor contacts are dirty or corroded from lint and detergent residue • Broken or faulty humidity sensor in the drum • Loose or disconnected wiring to the moisture sensor • Malfunctioning sensor control board or electronic module • Lint buildup blocking the sensor's ability to detect moisture • Defective thermal sensor causing false readings • Power supply issue affecting sensor voltage on 240V circuit

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Unplug the dryer from the 240V outlet for 5 minutes, then plug it back in to reset the control board • Check your home's circuit breaker to ensure the 240V dryer breaker is in the ON position • Remove and thoroughly clean the lint filter trap with a soft brush to remove all lint and debris • Inspect the moisture sensor probes (usually located inside the drum) for visible lint or white residue and gently wipe with a dry cloth if accessible from the front • Vacuum the exterior exhaust vent opening where air exits your dryer duct • Verify that the dryer exhaust vent duct is not kinked, crushed, or blocked by inspecting the hose behind the unit • Ensure the dryer is properly vented to the outdoors and not venting into walls or attics, as per USA building codes • Run the dryer on a test cycle with no clothes to see if the error clears • Check that all visible wiring connections at the back of the dryer are firmly seated (do not attempt to disassemble)
Safety First

Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
