Symptoms

• Dryer runs but clothes remain wet or damp after a complete cycle • Dryer stops mid-cycle and displays E01 on the digital display • Drum rotates normally but no heat is produced • Drying time is significantly longer than normal before error appears • Error code clears after power reset but returns during next use • Partial heat output that decreases as cycle progresses

Possible Causes

• Faulty heating element that has burned out or failed • Thermal fuse blown due to excessive heat or airflow restriction • Defective high-limit thermostat not reading temperature correctly • Clogged exhaust vent duct restricting airflow and causing heat buildup • Lint filter filled with lint reducing proper air circulation • Broken thermistor (temperature sensor) sending incorrect signals • Faulty heating relay on the control board • Loose or corroded 240V power connection at the terminal block • Damaged terminal block or poor electrical connections

Safety Checks You Can Do

• Unplug the dryer from the 240V outlet or turn off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power to see if error clears • Remove and empty the lint filter completely, then clean it with a dry brush or lint roller • Check the exhaust vent duct on the exterior of your home to ensure it is not blocked by lint, bird nests, or debris • Inspect the flexible or rigid vent hose behind the dryer for kinks, crushing, or separations that could block airflow • Verify the home circuit breaker for the dryer is in the ON position and has not tripped • Confirm the dryer is not pushed too close to the wall, which could bend or compress the vent duct • Run a test cycle with a small load of damp towels to determine if heat is being produced • Check that the dryer plug is fully inserted into the wall outlet and not partially dislodged • Measure the distance from the dryer exhaust outlet to the exterior vent opening; if longer than 25 feet or with multiple elbows, restricted airflow may be the cause • Clean around the dryer exterior and inlet area to remove accumulated lint that could affect ventilation
