Symptoms
• Dryer tumbles but clothes remain wet or damp after a full cycle
• No heat or significantly reduced heat coming from the dryer
• Error code E07 displays on the digital control panel
• Drying times are much longer than normal
• Dryer may stop mid-cycle or pause frequently
• You may notice a burning smell or hear unusual sounds from the heating area
Possible Causes
• Faulty heating element that has failed or is not generating sufficient heat
• Thermal cutoff fuse blown due to overheating or electrical surge
• Malfunctioning thermal sensor that monitors dryer temperature
• Defective heating relay or control board component
• Loose or corroded electrical connections at the heating element terminals
• Clogged lint filter or exhaust vent restricting airflow and causing temperature sensor malfunction
• Power supply issue affecting the 240V heating circuit specific to North American electrical standards
Safety Checks You Can Do
• Unplug the dryer from the 240V outlet or turn off the dedicated circuit breaker before performing any checks
• Remove and thoroughly clean the lint filter, as trapped lint can cause heating issues
• Inspect the exhaust vent duct outside your home for blockages, lint buildup, or damage to the ducting
• Verify that the dryer's exhaust vent damper (outside flapper) opens freely and is not stuck closed
• Check that the home circuit breaker serving the dryer has not tripped; if it has, reset it and monitor whether the error recurs
• Ensure the dryer is properly vented to the exterior of the home in compliance with USA building codes and manufacturer requirements
• Verify the power cord is fully inserted into the 240V outlet and shows no signs of damage, burn marks, or loose connections
• Allow the dryer to cool for at least 30 minutes, then plug it back in and run a test cycle to see if the error clears
Safety First
Always disconnect the appliance from power before performing any checks. If you are unsure about any step, please contact a qualified technician.
